About Us

The Butterfly Wings Foundation was registered with the Registrar General’s Department, Ghana on the 3rd of July 2023. The function of the body initially existed in the organisation of a day’s fundraiser, where proceeds from benevolent people were used to help defray the costs of therapies for learners with special needs, who’s parents could not afford to pay the bills. The vision grew larger and there was a realisation that there was the need to expand the reach of such gestures, since there were many people who due to lack of adequate funds have kept their children or wards from receiving the needed interventions to take care of their special educational needs.

“To advocate for and support individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through awareness creation, therapy interventions, vocational and technical training, research, volunteering initiatives, and caregiver capacity building.
